The successful VP of LS is a highly strategic and consultative hunter with experience working in a fast-paced, customer focused, and value driven environment. They have a strong understanding of the Life Science and real world evidence industries. The VP of LS serves as an external champion engaging with key business prospects to sign net new business and plays a large role in driving COTA's next phase of growth.WHAT WILL YOU GAINExpertise in the oncology real world data market, a fast growing segment of health data.Opportunity to help shape overall strategy as you work closely with COTA's exec team and represent "the voice of the client"HOW YOU WILL IMPACT COTAAs the VP of Sales, your primary responsibility will be to drive new revenue generation and assist in the rapid growth of the organization.Manage all aspects of the sales process from hunting new clients to lead generation to sales closure.Produce market and specific account plans and execute the plan to achieve annual sales targets. Ability to build and manage own sales funnel and pipeline to accurately forecast sales achievement.Generate revenue as an individual contributor through breaking into new LIfe Science companies, specifically mid and emerging biotechnology and medical diagnostic companies and innovatively solving client needs through the sale of real world data and analytic services. Build relationships with key contacts in assigned accounts as well as identify and break into new accounts; gain visibility into organizational structure and processes.Bring forth innovative ideas in order to develop and close opportunities, to provide end-to-end solutions, and to grow the sizedurationvalue of sales over time.Establish strong relationships with cross functional teams within COTA, become fluent in COTA's business model and product offerings in order to fully understand the extent of our capabilities and how to craft customized solutions for clients.Ensure communications are coordinated internally and externally in order to drive deals forward. Actively listen and encourage input.Coordinate and lead RFIRFP responses, develop and build proposals and SOWs as necessary, with support from internal teams. Champion COTA externally, promoting the organization through its product success and help build the brand.WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLEBachelor's degree10+ years of sales experience selling into Life Sciences organizations. Experience with real world data is strongly preferred.Demonstrated sales track record of success; proven experience consistently exceeding sales quota.Proven ability to problem solve and create solutions for customers that solve key customer pain pointsDeep understanding of the real world evidence space - how it has evolved, where it is headed, and how it's impacting the life sciences industryStrong business acumen and a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with key decision makersAbility to gain executive credibility, understand organizational political dynamics and competitive awarenessAbility to confidently run a meeting and deliver presentations to senior level audiencesDemonstrated success selling complex technical solutions; masterful attention to detailA hunter mentality with a drive to win every deal, with a history of successfully building a large book of business in a short timeframeEntrepreneurial mindedNICE TO HAVECurrent established contacts in Life Sciences RWE focused departmentsExperience working in a high growth or start-up environmentPrior experience delivering advanced data-driven platforms addressing "condition specific" clinical researchSalary - $190-210K plus commissionAt COTA, we are passionate about creating an inclusive workplace that celebrates and values diversity with the belief that it drives our innovation.
