Mid-Level Healthcare Regulatory Associate AttorneyLocation: Washington, D.C., Chicago, or New York (Preference for Washington, D.C.)Firm: Am Law 100 Firm (via Direct Counsel)Experience Level: 3-5 YearsDirect Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Healthcare Regulatory Associate to join a highly regarded Am Law 100 firm with a strong national healthcare practice. This role offers the opportunity to counsel healthcare and life sciences clients on a broad range of regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities:Provide regulatory counsel on fraud and abuse laws (Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law), HIPAA, corporate practice of medicine, licensing, reimbursement, and other compliance matters.Conduct regulatory due diligence and advise on the structuring of healthcare corporate transactions, including M&A, private equity investments, and joint ventures.Advise telehealth and digital health companies on regulatory strategy, licensing, and operational issues.Work on healthcare transactions, ensuring compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations.Assist with government investigations and enforcement actions related to healthcare fraud and compliance.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including corporate, litigation, and white-collar defense attorneys.Preferred Experience:3-5 years of experience in healthcare regulatory law, preferably at an Am Law 100 firm.Strong background in healthcare transactions, particularly in M&A and private equity.Experience with CMS, OCR, DOJ, or FDA regulations is highly valued.Demonstrated ability to interpret complex regulations and provide business-oriented legal advice.Qualifications:J.D. from an accredited law schoolLicensed to practice in Washington, D.C., Illinois, or New YorkExceptional writing, research, and analytical skillsStrong business judgment and ability to manage multiple prioritiesThis opportunity offers a hybrid work environment with a competitive salary range of $260,000 - $365,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including medicaldentalvision insurance and 401(k).
