Our client, a leader in the financial services industry, is seeking an Associate Editor to join their team. As an Associate Editor, you will be part of the Editorial team supporting a diverse group of professionals. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a keen eye for detail which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Associate EditorLocation: RemotePay Range: $25-$30 per hourWhat's the Job? Financial services Client seeks an Associate Editor for a long-term contract role. The Associate Editor role will involve editing reports of varying length under deadline pressure and publishing these to proprietary and third-party online platforms. The reports will primarily be rating action news releases, credit analyses on companies, analytical reports, and market commentaries. You will also be responsible for producing charts, infographics, and presentations. These reports present opinion and must adhere to the highest standards of clarity and accuracy. Work Hours: 10am - 6pm ET during training; 11am - 7pm ET after training The Impact: The quality of your work has a direct correlation to our reputation and image. The TeamBusiness: The Editorial team consists of about 100 staff in offices and working remotely around the world. You will work closely with other editors as well as designers, rating analysts, and operations specialists to transform complex research, data, and analytical concepts into compelling publications. Responsibilities: - Edit and publish reports that are accurate and clear on tight deadlines - Adhere to the in-house style guide and article formats - Create graphics using standard graphics software tools (Excel, Visio) to branding specifications - Support editorial team with other tasks as neededWhat's Needed? Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, or a discipline related to corporate finance - Excellent English verbal and written communication skills - Ability to collaborate effectively - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) Desirable: - Interest in financial markets - Experience in editorial production - Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and InDesign **Editing testing (article or document to edit for grammar and spelling) will be administered as an interview prerequisite What's in it for me?
