This is a full-time, 12-month position reporting to the Director of Athletics.The Head Coach will provide leadership, strategic vision, and oversight for all facets of the Women's Volleyball program, ensuring competitive success while upholding the University's academic and athletic mission. This role demands a commitment to fostering a positive student-athlete experience, developing a culture of excellence, and advancing the programs profile.ResponsibilitiesProgram Development & Competitive ExcellenceEstablish and communicate a clear vision for the program's success.Plan, execute, and evaluate practice sessions, game strategies, and player development to maximize team performance.Design a competitive non-conference schedule to enhance the program's standing.Ensure positive and effective communication with officials, opponents, parents, media, and the public.Recruiting & Roster ManagementIdentify, recruit, and develop high-caliber student-athletes who align with the University's academic and athletic standards.Manage roster size and scholarship allocation to align with institutional enrollment goals and discount rate strategies.Budget & FundraisingOversee the program's budgeting, equipment, and travel logistics, ensuring fiscal responsibility.Collaborate with the Senior Director of Development to meet fundraising goals and cultivate donor engagement pliance & Student-Athlete SuccessEnsure full compliance with NCAA, MAAC, and Iona University regulations, including eligibility, recruiting, and academic progress standards.Work closely with academic support staff to promote student-athlete retention, graduation, and success beyond the court.Staff Management & LeadershipHire, supervise, and mentor assistant coaches and support staff, fostering professional development.Cultivate a program culture that prioritizes integrity, discipline, teamwork, and personal growth.QualificationsQualificationsBachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.Minimum of three years of collegiate coaching experience at the Division I, II, or III level.Proven ability to recruit and develop student-athletes in a competitive environment.Strong knowledge of NCAA compliance regulations and athletic administration.Demonstrated success in budget management, fundraising, and alumni engagement.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Application Processinterested applicants should submit a resume, cover letter, and list of references.
