Join the accounting department of a fast-paced downtown Minneapolis law firm. We have an opportunity for an individual who enjoys working in a professional, team environment. The Staff Accountant is responsible for month end close including preparing and entering journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts. Also responsible for processing payroll, maintaining Fixed Asset records, filing monthly and quarterly local tax returns and assisting Accounts Payable and billing. This role will also participate in research and special projects. The salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000 based on years of order to perform one (1) or more essential functions of this role, a minimum of three (3) days in the office is required.Responsibilities:Month end closing and journal entries.Bank Reconciliations.Balance sheet account reconciliations.Generate bi-monthly and special payrolls using ADP and UKG software.Accounts Payable duties as needed.Assist the Billing team as needed.Research and special projects as needed.Monthly Reconciliation of credit card accounts.Sales and use tax filings and payments.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Completion of Associate or Bachelor degree, in Accounting, Business or equivalent. Experience in Microsoft Office Suite; with an emphasis in Microsoft Excel. Experience in Elite 3E ERP is a plus.Experience with software implementation is a plus.Strong math skills required.Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Financial StatementsPossess strong attention to detail to enable the delivery of high quality results.
