As an Overnight Veterinary Assistant, you will provide compassionate patient and client care while assisting veterinarians in the exam room and on the treatment floor. We are looking for caring, self-motivated individuals who enjoy interacting with clients and co-workers. Veterinary Assistants obtain and record medical histories, educate clients on wellness protocols and home care, assist doctors with administrative tasks, and provide medical care to canine and feline patients. Our Benefits: Competitive salary and bonus potential, including overnight hourly rate differentialsMedical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance, HSAFSA, commuter benefits Flexible scheduling with 3 and 4 day work weeks401k with company match Paid time off, including a bank of PTO and floating holiday time About the Role: Assisting our emergency veterinarians and technicians, as well as facilitating appointmentsEstablish and maintain effective client relationships Review scheduled appointments, ER triage information, and patient historiesObtains accurate patient history from clients and records information in digital medical record Performs safe and effective restraint appropriate for patient temperament and breed to allow examination and medical procedures Collects, labels, and delivers diagnostic samples to in-house laboratory Accurately records and invoices proceduresdiagnostics and dispensed medications Assists doctors with administrative tasks and client follow-up Cleaning and sanitizing kennels, wards, treatment areas, and common areas as well as laundry Setting up and restocking treatment areas and wards with the necessary supplies Ensure that all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Follow all safety and sanitation protocols Learning how to properly sterilize tools Accompanying animals on walks, if required. Calming animals who are in distress. Is courteous to all staff members and clients Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: A love for animals and passion for the veterinary fieldMinimum of 1 year of customer service experience Minimum of 1 year veterinary experience preferred Excellent communication skills with a team-focused mindset while remaining compassionate, attentive and positive with co-workers and clientsCritical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to think quickly and remain calm in emergent situationsA collaborative spirit- a willingness to support the team, be flexible and dependable with excellent attendanceA strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, managing time and priorities with minimal direct supervisionThis is an overnight shift role, and does require working non-traditional hours, including weekends and some holidaysLearn More About us: Website: FB Page: Ready to join our team?
