Regardless of your role at Wayflyer, you'll work with a variety of different disciplines and teams from around the world on a multitude of challenging projects and game-changing products to revolutionise the eCommerce landscape.WholesaleRetail funding at Wayflyer:Wayflyer began funding U.S. companies that sell to retailers and distributors in 2023 because of the significant TAM and opportunity available to us.WholesaleRetail is a fast-growing area for Wayflyer and we are looking for an ambitious Manager to take our underwriting of these customers to the next level in 2025.What you'll doBe responsible for the success of WholesaleRetail underwriting in Wayflyer!Make the credit decisions in WholesaleRetail lending and own the performance of this portfolio , ensuring accurate and consistent evaluation of creditworthinessMentor a high-performing analyst team, fostering development and delivering quality analysis for sound credit decisionsDrive the evolution of Wayflyer's WholesaleRetail underwriting , making efficiencies in our processes and improvements to our credit policiesOversee the management of the existing loan portfolio, developing advanced portfolio management strategies and proactively identifying high-risk scenariosShape and execute product and pricing strategies, structuring deals that align with business objectives and market conditionsKnowledge, skills and experience:Essential:5+ years of relevant work experience - in one (or several) of the following:an investmentlending role at a bank or fund focusing on asset-based lending PO financing invoice discounting recourse factoringa large accountingauditing firm working with retailwholesale clientsin the finance team of a retailwholesale businessA deep understanding of the RetailWholesale industry in the United States and how it interacts with the credit markets is essentialAbility to analyse and understand financial reporting (e.g. management accounts financial models) presented by companiesBeing very comfortable leading regular internal and external (client) meetings and presenting findings and recommendations to Senior StakeholdersPreferred, but not essential:Experience underwriting or auditing asset-based loans, term loans, factoring facilities, merchant cash advances, credit cards, or other loan productsExperience in managing peopleCPACFA qualificationWhat is important to point out is that you fit most or all of the above-mentioned criteria and can point to your real experience doing these things.
