Warehouse Janitor

Job Summary:The Warehouse Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe working environment within the warehouse facility. This role ensures that all common areas, restrooms, storage spaces, and the warehouse floor are clean, organized, and free of hazards. The janitor plays a crucial role in supporting overall warehouse operations by contributing to cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.Key Responsibilities: Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas. Empty trash bins and dispose of waste appropriately. Clean and disinfect warehouse equipment, including shelving, pallets, and storage containers. Maintain clean windows and doors for a well-kept appearance. Safety Compliance: Ensure all cleaning activities comply with safety and environmental regulations. Identify and report any potential hazards, such as wet floors or unsafe equipment. Ensure that all cleaning materials are stored safely and properly labeled. Inventory Management: Assist in managing janitorial supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels. Order cleaning supplies and equipment when necessary. General Warehouse Assistance: Assist in organizing and tidying up workspaces, aisles, and loadingunloading areas. Help with basic maintenance tasks, such as light repairs or reorganization of warehouse items when needed. Additional Tasks: Provide support for any special cleaning or maintenance tasks during seasonal peak times or specific events. Assist in setting up for warehouse events, meetings, or other functions as needed. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in janitorial or custodial services, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting, is a plus. Basic knowledge of safety protocols and warehouse environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions. Reliable and punctual. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
