Overview: JCM Associates, Inc. is hiring HVAC Start-upCommissioning Technicians for full time year-round positions in commercial mechanical construction projects in the MD, VA, and DC area.About us: JCM Associates Inc. is a leading provider of commercial HVAC and plumbing services throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. We provide wellness programs and an in-house gym as well as many social functions throughout the year.Key Responsibilities:Start-up, commission, maintain, and services industrialcommercial HVAC systems and plumbing equipment. Troubleshoots and locates malfunctions, diagnoses problems, and determines appropriate repairs.Utilize laptopstablets to document startup and commissioning forms required per project specifications.Works from blueprints, drawings, models, andor verbal and written instructions.Prove mechanical and plumbing systems being control by building automation systems to third party Commissioning firm.Share partial supervision of NEBB Tab contractor and respond to punch listed terface and coordinate activities with ATC sub-contractor.Services and repairs evaporators, condensers, and receivers. Repacks valves, lubricates moving parts, replaces filters, and clean coils.Adjusts, repairs, or replaces thermostats, relays, switches, and electrical wiring.Repairs or replaces compressors and components, electric motors, fans, belts, and pulleys.Maintains refrigerate inventory and consumption logs.Follows established safety procedures and utilizes safety protective equipment and clothing pertaining to trades or skills.Performs other related duties as assigned by direct plete some minor copper tubing; cut and thread pipe; make pipe and low voltage connections.Provides proper methods of storing and maintaining tools, equipment, and supplies in a safe and orderly condition.Meet schedules and timelines.Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders.Test pipe or tubing joints and connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution.Teach and instruct helper on the installation of a HVAC system.Minimum SkillsRequirements:CFCUniversal License5 years of experience building commercial mechanical projects or equipmentEffective communication skillsKnowledge of commercial HVAC systemsAbility to read, understand and work from drawings, specifications, and schematicsUnderstands written and verbal instructionsAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentAttendance, reliability, dependability, and flexibilityAbility to interact with multiple personality types while ensuring a positive outcomeIncentivesBenefits:Excellent compensation ($82,000 - $104,000 per year)Company TruckBonus EligibilityPaid HolidaysPaid VacationPaid Parking401KOwner-funded retirement planHealth, Disability and Life insuranceJob Type: Full TimeJCM offers competitive salaryhourly range reflective of candidate's experienceDrug Free E.O.E.
