Position Summary:Franklin University, a private, independent, accredited, not-for-profit University located in Columbus, Ohio invites applicants for its Student Affairs Operations Assistant position. The Student Affairs Operations Assistant role includes primary responsibility for general administrative duties for the Institution by supporting the Call and Welcome Center. This position is responsible for educating students in person and over the phone on institutional policies, provides administrative support, and engages in a variety of critical project-based tasks. The position also entails partnering with other internal departments including: Office of International Students and Programs, Student Financial Services, Accounting, and Registrar.The Student Affairs Operations Assistant is responsible for answering incoming calls, providing exceptional customer service by triaging calls, chats, and walk ins, reviewing student information and requirements, scheduling appointments, processing payments, utilizing different databases, assisting with special projects and outreach initiatives.This role will work an onsite hybrid schedule.Duties and Responsibilities:Work in a team environment to assist current and potential students, faculty, and staff by providing knowledgeable information regarding departments across the universityInterpret and apply university policies and procedures to assist studentsCollaborate on cross-functional projects with other Franklin departmentsEffectively utilize the University's technology tools, including CRM (Constituent Relationship Management System), Colleague (Student Information System), TalkDesk, O'lark (chatbot) and various Microsoft toolsSchedule student appointmentsAssist with special projects, outreach initiatives, and other duties as assignedMinimum RequirementsQualifications:Excellent oral and written communication skillsCommitment to provide exceptional customer serviceSelf-sufficiency in a fast-paced and ever-changing team environmentAttention to detailStrong comfort with technologyWillingness to be flexible to accommodate the needs of the University.Preferred Skills and Characteristics:Actively pursuing a degreeEllucian Colleague experience a plusAdditional Notes: Monday - Thursday 9am-6pm, Friday 8am-5pm (40-hour week) About Franklin UniversityFounded in 1902, Franklin University has built its reputation on removing barriers to higher education for ambitious adults who must balance their educational goals with other commitments.
