Principal Responsibilities:Job Overview:Under the supervision of the Aquatics Director and Assistant Aquatics Director, the private swimming instructor is responsible for lesson planning to facilitate a positive and growth driven learning environment. The primary function of the instructor will be to maintain a safe and organized instructional environment for class participants.Minimum Qualifications:Key Responsibilities, in coordination and consultation with the DirectorAsst. Director , include:Embody an outgoing and enthusiastic personality at all times.Strong customer service while enforcing all policies and proceduresReports to work in uniform a minimum of ten minutes prior to the assigned shift Maintain safe and orderly instructional environment for all participantsResponsible for the cleanliness of the pool area and instructional equipmentTeaching age and skill appropriate swimming techniques utilizing hydrodynamic principlesAssessing and reporting swim level of participantsEnsuring proper records are maintained in regards to private swim clientsQualities and Qualifications:Age 16 or olderCurrently certified LifeguardingCPRAEDFirst Aid (preferred)Currently certified Water Safety Instructor (required)Being familiar with the facility Emergency Action Plan Participating in continuing education activities through both internal and external sessions to promote an on-going development of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for instructors.Physical effort required for daily duties includes lifting heavy weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standingwalking.Must be able to lift andor move 30+ poundsSalary: $40 - $45 per hourThis is a part-time, in-person role, with occasional evenings and holidays throughout the year.
