Assistant Store Manager Job Num: 56773 h5Job DescriptionPosition: Assistant Store ManagerIndustry: Grocery RetailLocation: Costa Mesa, CAStatus: Full-time, ExemptSalary Range: $70,000 - $75,000year (DOE) Summary of the Position: Assistant Store Manager is the one of the key leaders for the defined store, who work closely between store manager and the store teams to achieve store goals. Assistant Store Manager serves as a role model for building relationships with customers and maintain presence through store supervision to ensure appropriate staff coverage in all areas of the store. Job Responsibilities: Works in tandem with the Store Manager in directing and leading all aspects of the day-to-day store operations and is responsible for overall direction and leadership of store-operations in collaboration with the Store Manager.Be responsible for and determines final decisions on store operations in the absence of the Store ManagerBe responsible for managing store conditions, product quality, store inventory, team schedule, workflow arrangement due to the sales traffic at all times, even when the Store Manager is presentMaintain orderly, presentable appearance of the store.Demonstrates advanced product knowledge and develops maintains awareness of new productsMaintains awareness of customer flows and needs and directs Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers; responds promptly to customer needs and questionsSupport store manager on purchase inventory based on current trends, availability of new products and customer interestSupport store manager on sales and customer reports and make recommendations for improvementsEnsure employees' health and safety. Implement and fulfill the safety policies at workplace.Make sure the quality consistence cross departmentsections in store.Be responsible for store team management including implement policies and procedures, smooth store operation communication channel and method, update store operation calendar, and other related topics.Demonstrate strong leadership and ownership especially in the emergency situation.Other signed responsibilities.Requirements: Recent 3-year grocery retail store team management experience in middle to large volume grocery retail industry.Demonstrate the ability to meet and exceed sales and profit results, with strong business acumen and ability to meet business goals through driving results in store.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to display good leadership qualities, enthusiasm to motivate and drive a team.Excellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task effectively.Highly detail-oriented and excellent organization skills.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, excellent mathematical literacy.Ability to prioritize workload efficiently and able to work on a flexible schedule.
