The MTH Industries team has built their reputation on proven performance, meeting their customer's stringent demands.Primary Responsibilities:•Scope Analysis: Review and analyze bid document to prepare a scope of work ensuring alignment with project specifications and Plans.•Produce accurate quantity take-offs and proposals of basic structures•Quantity take-off•Understand specifications and can determine proper finish(es)•Complete estimate summary sheets to be reviewed by others•Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers and review their scope•Create proposals utilizing MTH Steel standard templates•Complete bid forms and scope sheets from customer to be reviewed by others•Attend scope reviews as needed with sales lead•Proficient in semi-complex structures such as data centers, hospitals, and high-rise structures with a variety of moment connections, brace frames, plate girders, and trusses•Provide breakout pricing and alternates as required•Complete design assumptions when drawings are incomplete•Complete simple budgeting exercises working with incomplete documents•Complete complex Change Order estimates•Collaboration: Engage with the vendors to gather pricing for new project estimates.•Site Visits: Visit job sites to build relationships with clients and vendors•Pricing Reviews: Prepare pricing recaps for senior leadership.•Fabrication Shop Experience: Gain hands-on experience with the fabrication flow and production processes, deepening your understanding of the entire construction lifecycle.Minimum Qualifications:•Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or an equivalent combination of education and professional project management experience.•Display a willingness and ability to learn•Self-motivated and strong time management skills•Strong written and verbal communication skills•Detail oriented with the ability to efficiently analyze and organize significant amounts of information regarding project plans and specs•Ability to understand construction documents, including bid manuals, scope documents, plans, and specifications•Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Blue Beam skills preferred•All other duties as assignedPreferred Qualifications (is a plus):•Experienced developing and delivering sales presentations and negotiating contracts in the construction industry are a plus.•Estimatebid projects; Capable of thorough analysis of project document requirements, vendor offers, negotiate with key vendors for competitive pricing•Experience in CAD, Revit, Advance Steel, and TeklaWhat we offer you:1.
