Position: VDC CoordinatorReports to: VDC ManagerLocation: Columbus, OhioPay Range: $37 - $50 per hourWe take into consideration a number of factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates.The Superior Group is looking for a highly motivated and organized VDC Coordinator to join our fast-paced team. This position will work on several innovative and exciting projects in a variety of market sectors including data centers, higher education, healthcare, enterprise, and industrial projects. This role is based at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare 2D layout drawings to be used for BIM modeling or for field installationPrepare field installation and prefabrication drawingsPrepare panel pull sheets with circuitry and wire informationCoordinate and interface with project management staffReview project drawings, specifications and submittalsProvide QAQC reviews of installation drawings and BIM models to ensure compliance with contract documents and best construction practicesContribute to developing department BIMLayout standardsAttend project BIM coordination meetings and technical committee meetingsYour Character TraitsYou're organized, great at prioritization, and have a strong attention to detailYou're a great communicator, a team player, and ready to work with colleagues across our jobsites and organizationYou have the ability to consistently meet tight deadlines and the willingness to learn new processesYou're able to exercise confidentiality and discretion at all times when dealing with sensitive data and informationYour ExpertiseYou have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a field electrician, electrical distribution maintenance technician, or an electrical engineer.Required: You must currently be an Electrician or have electrical construction experience.You have experience with power distribution 120V480V up to 15kV, including switchgear, panels, generators, UPS, raceways and transformersYou have experience in reviewing electrical design drawings, specifications and equipment submittalsYou have experience in healthcare, data centers, industrial andor higher education facilitiesBonus points if you have experience with fire alarm, telecommunication, security, EPMS and BMSBonus points if you have experience in preparing 2D layouts or installation drawings for construction job sitesBonus points if you have familiarity with the NEC and other construction industry codes and standardsBonus points if you have familiarity with modeling software such as REVIT, Navisworks, BluebeamOur BenefitsWe offer a range of professional and personal perks that you can enjoy as a member of Superior.
