Description Compensation Range: $110,000 - $130,000 yearly commensurate with experience.Benefits: We have three comprehensive healthcare plans to choose from based on your priorities and budget. Overview: The Director of Quality Initiatives (DQS) is responsible for the implementation of quality assurance and improvement projects as well as the lead for compliance functions within the Housing Department. The objective is to improve the quality of care for our supportive and affordable housing clients through data-driven initiatives and to monitor and ensure contractual compliance for the 25+ contracts associated with the department.Responsibilities: Primary:Manage the Department's Quality Assurance projects, and continually develop new projects as needed.Secondary:Develop and implement evaluation of housing programs, both for residents and for key staffKPIs:Implement a staff evaluation project to oversee individual performance metrics and the standardization of staff goals.Update the department's Policy and Procedures manual annually.Other Functions:Responsible for the implementation of clinical projects (CQI, Show Rate, Incident Reporting, etc.) for the DepartmentAct as the lead representative for the Housing Department on Quality Initiatives, Risk, and Compliance; and participate in Housing Works' Safety and Security initiatives and provide quarterly compliance reports based on the Department's metrics.Facilitate internal chart reviews of housing programming on a quarterly basis.Lead the department's Housing Inventory Count Point in Time (HICPIT) efforts.Run basic reports from internal client documentation platform (eIcare) and provide to teams for quality assurance.Create and collaborate on data presentations using excel, Power Point, and other data visualization tools.Manage the department's internal incident reporting via Salesforce and ensure incidents are closed in accordance with the best practices and agency guidelines.Assist with grant writing for the purpose of enhancing our current portfolio.Perform special projects as requested by supervisor.Enthusiastically participate in advocacy and direct actions to end the twin crises of homelessness and HIVAIDS. Minimum Requirements Education:Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field required, and at least three years of relevant experience required in a social service setting that deals with HIVAIDS, homelessness, mental health issues, andor substance useQualifications:Strong mathematical, analytical, and strategic skills.Excellent internal, external customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills.Strong communication skills, both verbally and written, including the ability to communicate with all levels of management.Ability to prioritize, multi-task, follow-upfollow through, manage staff and report out appropriately.Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Understanding of harm-reduction practices and how to implement them in daily client interactions.Experience with and knowledge of HIVAIDS, homelessness, and resources available in New York City.Strong interpersonal, coaching, and administrative petencies:Exemplary ability to manage multiple tasks using independent judgment and discretion.Ability to develop and maintain trusting relationships with a diverse range of stakeholdersAbility to work in a team but also independently and accurately in a high-paced, deadline-oriented environment.Ability to exercise discretion and tact in all interpersonal contacts and always maintain client confidentiality.Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skillsGood communication skills both verbally and written including the ability to communicate with all levels of management and a variety of stakeholders.Detail-oriented and accurate especially with numbersAbility to work under pressureSelf-motivated and self-directed •Ability to assert oneselfExemplary time management skillsAbility to work with staff in solving problems and ability to take direction and function as part of a team.Working Conditions:The Director of Quality Initiatives position is one that is hybrid.Housing Works provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
