Backed by one of the largest North American infrastructure funds, Cologix's experienced leadership team, certified staff and commitment to ESG initiatives help form a culture that values our people, our environment and our clients.About the Position: The Data Center Electrician is responsible for the operations of the Data Center infrastructure components including but not limited to Mechanical Systems; Chillers, CRAC, CRAH, pumps, condensers and Electrical Systems; UPS, Generators, ATS, batteries and DC plants.What you do daily:Install AC and DC circuits from PDU to Customer CabinetsManage all aspects of the Mechanical and Electrical operations within the Data Centers, to include:UPS Systems (EmersonVertiv and Mitsubishi) 2-34.5mW transformers480 V SystemsDC Power Plants Manage and track cooling capacity, temperatures and efficiency throughout the Data CentersManage and track electrical capacity, UPS loads, customer consumption and breaker availabilityMaintain detailed site specification documentation of As-Builts, Single-Lines and pre-sales spec sheetsPlan physical environment installs including capacity expansions, system upgrades, and new CRAC, In-Row cooling, UPS, distribution panels, etc.Responsible to lead the troubleshooting process and repairs in case of events or equipment failure. Make recommendations to prevent reoccurrence of such events.Optimize cooling and electrical distribution for optimal PUESchedule, manage and document vendor provided preventive maintenances per the manufacturer's specifications of all equipmentReview and approve all facilities maintenance tasksMOPS when required as part of change management systemOversee and monitor all facilities record keepingMaintain accurate site documentation such as maintenance records, power consumption, temperature trends, PUE trends, etc.Ensure that best practices are adhered to in areas of cooling and electrical documentationParticipate in pre-sales engineering of Customer solutionsManage installs against aggressive schedulesParticipate in facilities post incident reviews as requiredParticipate in regular facilities audits What makes you a good fit: (Qualifications)Education: Bachelor's Degree or work equivalentMinimum 5 years work experience in managing mission critical facilities A combination of education and experience is acceptableKnowledge of telecommunications and data center operationsAttention to detail with good organizational capabilitiesAbility to prioritize with good time management skillsCan work independently and consistently achieve resultsActive Electrician License RequiredExperience with cooling subsystems such as Chillers, CRAC, CRAH, etc.Understanding of IT systems including but not limited to servers, network systems, fiber and copper cablingFamiliarity with Uptime Institute and GreenGrid principlesExperience in large, complex construction projectsAbility to read and comprehend single line diagramsExcellent written and verbal communication skills***Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or transfer sponsorship of an employment visa at this time, including CPTOPT.***Benefits:We offer a competitive benefit package for full-time employees that includes:Medical, dental and vision insuranceFlexible spending account optionsNon-accrued PTOCompany paid holidays401k Retirement PlanShort- and Long-Term Disability Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.
