Utilizing cutting-edge technology with some of the world's most respected experts in the field, CNYPAI's mission is to diagnose and treat a range of diseases and conditions that may otherwise go unnoticed, as well as to further transform research efforts to improve health in individuals and populations, while holding the highest of standards for the patient experience. We are seeking a key RN leader that assists within the unitdepartment level programs related to quality and patient safety, performance improvement, PI project management and teamworkskills validation. The Patient Safety Coordinator assists in data abstractions, recommends educational initiatives or policy changes or programs aimed at the prevention of safety events or medical errors and coaches clinicians to execute patient safety goals and a culture of safety.Preferred CriteriaMasters in Nursing or related field if already holds a BSN degree. Either bachelors of graduate degree must be in NursingExperience in serious and near miss safety events-investigated, RCA, development of interventions to improve systemsprocesses as indicated.Able to assist clinical staff with performance improvement project publications- abstract writing, posterpodium presentations as needed.Proficient at presenting clinical updatesmaterials to clinical staff related to quality and patient safety.Required CriteriaCurrent New York State Licensed Registered NurseBSNClinical experience in related specialty with progressive responsibility and accountabilityDemonstrated knowledge and skills in quality and patient safety methodologies and performance improvement management. Proficient in presenting clinical updatesmaterials to clinical staff related to quality and patient safety.Demonstrated ability to review literature and other validated sourcesevidence of professional standards of care to make sure hospital policiesprocedures are current.Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork amongst diverse groups; to lead and or serve as team memberdepartmental representative.Ability to adapt, flexible with assignment changes due to departmental needs and organizational quality and patient safety priorities.Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
