One of our oil and gas clients is looking for a senior instrumentation and electrical and designer that will be responsible for conducting complex design assignments for the Engineering Department and functions as a technical specialist, formulating and developing advanced engineering and design concepts.- Solves technical problems related to projects and troubleshoots and updates report data for business unit(s)- Analyzes related components and systems, processes and methods, and refinery processes and economics- Understands and can create and modify engineering documentation.- Familiarity with industrial electrical equipment and installations.- Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products- Evaluates and applies technical specifications into project designs.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Required Skills & Experience* A minimum of 8 years of progressive work experience in electrical, instrumentation & controls is required. * Emphasis on controls engineering and power distribution * Ability to manage a project is essential.Working knowledge of commonly used engineering concepts and ability to apply this knowledge analytically.* Ability to stay abreast of new technology developments and processes is essential. Technical expert in area of specialty.* Ability to compare field installations against engineering documents.* Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication. Advanced reading and writing skills, with the ability to perform complex mathematical calculations. Nice to Have Skills & ExperienceRefinery or petrochemical industry experience is preferred.
