AWH is looking for a highly motivated accounting professional ready to make a big impact, grow their career, and leave their mark! AWH is searching for a Manager of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting to prepare the Company's SEC filings, including Form 10-Q and Form 10-K, and play an active role in ensuring the accuracy of all financial information disclosed externally. This person will also research and analyze technical accounting matters, and reports directly to the SVP, Financial Reporting.Location: Remote with NYC metro area location requirement for occasional in-person meetings.Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for the planning, preparation, review and overall coordination of quarterly and annual SEC filings (Forms 10-Q and 10-K) and support other public filing documents.Prepare various disclosures, including the financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A.Manage quarterly processes that support our 10-QK disclosures, including assisting with the consolidation process.Coordinate internal information requests, prepare supporting documentation, and compile information that supports SEC filings, including tie-out support.Perform a key role in accounting research efforts to analyze and support the treatment of complex transactions, including the preparation of accounting memos.Perform disclosure research and review examples of peer company financial statement disclosures.Monitor new accounting pronouncements and assist in determining the impact on financial statements and disclosures.Work closely with the external auditors and various internal working groups to coordinate and manage audits and reviews.Review XBRL tagging of financial statements and footnotes.Assist in supporting the quarterly earnings release and investor updates, as applicable.Support a continuous improvement mentality by reviewing current processes and helping to suggest areas of improvement to facilitate a more efficient SEC and financial reporting process.Lead other special projects, as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting.5-8 years of professional experience; prior SEC reporting andor public accounting experience preferred.CPA preferred.Exposure to financial reporting and financial statement review.Knowledge of U.S. GAAP is required, combined with the ability to research accounting issues.Highly detail oriented and organized, with the ability to adhere to assigned deadlines and a strong sense of ownership.Pro-active mentality and a problem solver with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently.Strong proficiency with Microsoft office products, excellent Excel skills are required.Strong technicalsystem skills, experience with Workiva is a plus.Work EnvironmentThis position performs duties in an office setting.
