Accounting Specialist

Our client is a luxury NYC-based fashion brand looking to add an Accounting Specialist to their team. SalaryHourly Rate: $80k - $90k Position Overview: The Accounting Specialist will manage all aspects of customer billing and collections across wholesale, retail, and e-commerce channels. This Accounting Specialist position reports directly to the Controller and works closely with the Finance, Fulfillment, and Operations departments. Responsibilities of the Accounting Specialist: Request and track deposits from prepaid customers. Manage collections for accounts with open payment terms. Generate and distribute customer invoices. Maintain accurate logs of all deposits received. Process payments in the ERP system. Perform monthly sales reconciliations. Prepare AR aging reports and monthly receivables forecasts. Oversee transaction flow from Shopify into the ERP system. Record payments in the ERP system. Reconcile monthly sales and payments across POS and e-commerce channels Reconcile the sales tax reports from Shopify, Avalara, and the ERP system. Assist with bank reconciliation. Support the Finance team with additional tasks as needed. Required ExperienceSkills for the Accounting Specialist: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with emphasis on accounts receivable. Experience with the Shopify platform and integrations. Proficiency in RLM or similar ERP System. Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
