For more information, visit Job Summary The role of the Senior Project Manager is to support client initiatives in creating prototype and production parts by aligning project requirements with company profitability. This position will have advanced knowledge of prototyping processes to understand client expectations and manage projects with highly technical complexities. This position must also plan, execute, and deliver aerospace and automotive contracts in collaboration with engineering, quality, and operation team members. The success of this position requires the ability to develop strong relationships, communicate effectively, and keep work organized.Essential Functions Serve as clients' main point of contact for prototyping and production needs via email, phone or in personResearch, question, and understand customer needs to determine project achievability Recommend best combination of materials and processes based on project, budget, and timeframe requirementsCreate proposals and bids for aerospace and automotive contract opportunities; collaborate with engineering team to determine costs, technical risks, and competitive pricing points while maximizing profitsPrepare quotes by studying 2D prints, CAD files, and other documentation; consult with technical personnel to confirm quote specifications as neededCreate and review dimensional 3D analyses to ensure production parts meet quality standardsLiaison between customer and operations staff, supporting both the customer and internal operations to determine equally agreed upon solutions that supports the programMaintain program schedules and present updates to customers for successful on-time delivery of production contractsGuide purchasing through procurement of aerospace components and materials that include a high level of requirements, certifications, and documentationDevelop work instructions, test plans, and internal procedures for the completion of various projects per the given requirements or the company's needs Utilize effective pricing strategies to meet company revenue and profitability goals Monitor manufacturing progress, identify the need for issue escalation, recommend alternative solutions Evaluate completed projects against predetermined quality standards to ensure customer satisfactionMaintain internal systems and project documentation in an organized, electronic mannerEvaluate third party vendors and coordinate outsourcing needsMaintain strong business relationships with key decision makers and influencers within assigned accounts; use networking skills to grow contact portfolio within assigned accountsArrange client visits onoff site as needed to present company services and capabilities and secure business opportunities Initiate, support and implement continuous improvement activities;
