Come join our team and leave your mark in the history of science that benefits humanity!We are in search of a Business Development Manager to take a lead role in managing business development activity of assigned sales territories. This individual will formulate sales objectives, policies, and other pertinent programs to promote and maximize sales in an assigned territory. We are an established Westerville-based global leader supporting advanced scientific research in measurement and control solutions that drive the discovery and development of new materials for tomorrow's technologies.Key Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of assigned direct sales territorya - Technical analysis of customer applications and requirementsb - Evaluation and processing of customer RFQ, quality, and export requirements,c - Issuance of budgetary estimates and quotations,d - Review of purchase orders with terms and conditions,e - Order taking, issuance of order entry and export compliance documentationf - Prepare sales forecastsPlan and coordinate travel by company staff in support of customers Travel regularly to visit with customers to support their activities and maximize salesSchedule and coordinate visits to company by customersRespond to daily correspondence from customers and resolve issuesTarget other markets to grow revenueProactively assist in defining channel that could promote new productsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics5+ years technical sales experience in capital equipment sales2+ years sales experience in researchscientific marketThe salary for this role starts at $100,000+ and will be compensatory to one's qualifications and experience.
