Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY: At CERM, our PMCM team works seamlessly with clients by delivering projects and programs to achieve our clients' goals. Whether it's managing construction or designing buildings, solutions are continuously being implemented. What we do is more than construction; we play a part in moving a vision from concept to reality. We are looking for an experienced Project Director in Tampa, FL to join our Program Management Team. As a key member of the Tampa Airport Program, you'll be leading a multidiscipline design team to complete tasks within established schedules, budgets and help advance our business development plan for growth, as well as utilizing your experience to execute project strategies. You will be responsible for overall project delivery on multiple project assignments. You'll play an integral role in engaging between project client, architect of record, general contractor, among others. Your leadership skills will be key in fostering collaborative communications and building relationships.PRIMARY DUTIES:Oversees and develops Project Management Plans (PMP) consisting generally of scope, budget and schedules for projects that support the Authority's Capital Improvement ProgramClosely interacts with other members of the Authority and design consultants regarding the development, implementation, and coordination of complex facilities projectsDirects and supervises Authority staff and project design consultants related to design, functionality, operational feasibility, and regulatory complianceCoordinates the design, from an airport operational and phasing perspective, with Authority stakeholders, staff, and tenantsSupervises the preparation of contract documents with a goal of minimizing operational impacts Liaises with internal and external airport stakeholders during the planning and design phase of each projectCreates presentations and holds project team meetings with stakeholders during the design process, as well as keeps stakeholders updated and informed as the project moves through both the design and construction phase of the projectCoordinates with tenants during construction regarding impacts to their operation and with Authority construction personnel to minimize such operational impactsDirects and supervises Authority staff and project design consultants in the preparation of design drawings, specifications, cost estimates and schedules Coordinates and establishes effective working relationships with other Authority departments Coordinates with governmental and permittingcode agencies and assists in design administration dutiesRequired SkillsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:This is a partial listing of necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job successfully. Experienced in budgeting and reportingCompetent in math, project management, time management skillsAbility to analyze issues and develop and deploy solutionsAbility to multi-task, adjust to shifting priorities, demands and timelinesWillingness to take the initiative, suggest improvements and solutions to problems or issuesAble to work for the needs of the entire organization in a team-orientated environmentDemonstrated ability to evaluate, negotiate, and implement strategic business projectsAbility to effectively operate within diverse and cross functional groupsAbility to form and maintain professional business relationships with all team partnersRequired ExperienceMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or ArchitectureMaster's degree, a plus10+ years of experience in program, project, design, and construction management functions with at least 5 years of this experience working in similar roles at airports Experience as a client facing Design Project Manager managing multiple disciplinesDemonstrated design and project management experience within the Aviation sectorExperience leading design teams in a variety of contract typesStrong technical background in various disciplines associated with the design of airport LICENSURES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND REGISTRATIONS:Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification will be considered a plusProfessional Registration (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Requires the ability to exert light physical effort including, but not limited to, lifting, carrying, pushing andor pulling, etc. of objects and materials of light weight (generally 25 pounds and less)May involve extended periods of time in seated position up to 75% of the workday at a keyboard or workstationMust be physically able to operate a variety of job-related machines andor Office EquipmentAbility to stand at least 25% of workdayWORK ENVIRONMENT:This job combines office with some field workWillingness to travel as requiredCORPORATE ENVIRONMENTAL RISK MANAGEMENT, L.L.C. is a Certified Drug-Free Workplace and Equal Employment Opportunity Employer that does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions), national origin, ancestry, age, andor disability.
