The Children's Home of KingstonNOW HIRINGControllerWe have a one-of-a-kind opportunity for a dynamic, innovative, self-starting, and thorough individual with an Accounting or Financial background to assume the position of Controller in an integrative agency that works with three government oversites: OCFS, SED, and Federally funded aid. These unique programs are dedicated to addressing the needs of children who have gone through traumatic experiences in their lives.The Controller is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Fiscal Department, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Accountants, and is a member of the Finance Committee.Job duties include:Guiding the implementation of new financial initiativesOversee cash management, including cash flow analysis, projected income and expensesExperience with OCFS and SED rate setting and reporting requirements, including preparation of annual SSOP and CFROversee Federal Grants, including indirect expense allocations, funds drawdowns, and quarterly and annual reportingTake the lead on the annual capital budget formulation in consultation with the Executive Team and Finance CommitteeExcellent interpersonal and verbal communication skillsSound knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulationsAble to work with a team in a practical, professional manner at all timesMinimum Education & Experience:MBA, CPA, or equivalent experience with a Bachelor's Degree3-5 years of finance experience in a non-profit environmentMinimum of 2-3 years of leadership experienceComputer fluency in a variety of software applicationsWe offer a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and generous time off.Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
