We are looking for the BEST employees in the industry to help us grow our business at Carrier Vibrating Equipment in Louisville. We are currently hiring a Lab & Rental Supervisor. This individual is a self-starter with a sense of urgency and demonstrates a positive attitude while applying excellent communication skills to go above and beyond for teammates and customers. The Lab & Rental Supervisor oversees tasks related to process applications, including the setup and maintenance of rental equipment for process applications conducted in an industrial lab setting. This position reports to the Lab Manager and works under the direction of Project Engineers as needed during testing preparation, conducting tests, and analysis. Schedule: 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. * Schedule varies due to customer visits. *Business hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.; however, the lab schedule is generally from 7 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. on days when clients are present or 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. when there are no clients. Please note that lab hours can vary due to business needs. A shift may last up to 12 hours, with a start time as early as 6 a.m. and an end time as late as 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. The Lab Manager provides 24-hour notice. What you'll doReceive, Control, Return or Dispose of Test Materials. Serve as the Laboratory Safety Data Sheets (SDS) Coordinator.Supervise Lab and Rental Technicians for conducting tests and maintaining equipment. Train Lab Technicians, Rental Technicians and Co-ops.Electrical wiring of PLCs, controllers, motors, and other 3-phase components.Maintain adequate lab supplies.Provide technical support for rental and testing equipment.Oversee maintenance, repair and upgrade of test and rental equipment.Prepare, ship, set-up and maintain equipment used in trade shows.Perform the role of Lab Technician and Rental Technician as needed.Perform other tasks as directed. Requirements Minimum 2-year Technical Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.Previous experience with mechanical andor electrical systems. Ability to do the following: Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems; read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics; understand and follow safety procedures with mechanical equipment and high voltage electrical equipment. An understanding of controllers, control valves, transmitters, and other process instrumentation. Excellent communication skills - Must be able to interface with other departments, sales representatives, and customers. Prioritization and organizational skills. Experience operating fork trucks and cranes. Capability to mentor and train technicians and co-ops. A sense of urgency. Proficiency in MS Office. Qualifications that are a plusLean Six Sigma experience.
