Position OverviewThis dynamic role combines household management and personal assistance for a busy Brooklyn family. The ideal candidate will maintain high standards for home organization and cleanliness while providing thoughtful personal support. This person will be responsible for creating and maintaining household systems that ensure consistency throughout the home. Core Responsibilities Household Organization & Systems •Creating and maintaining efficient organizational systems throughout the house including•Organizational structures for all spaces (closets, drawers, etc)•Inventory for all household items•Grocery and Food•Building and documenting household processes; management of house manual•Managing wardrobe organization and seasonal rotations•Ensuring items are consistently returned to their proper places Household Management & MaintenanceDaily:•Performing daily house reset and tidying in all common areas•Light cleaning and touch-ups between deep cleaning service visits•Managing incoming mail and packages•Ensuring spaces remain consistently organized and presentable•Following up on cleaning tasks to ensure proper execution•Overseeing laundry systems and ensuring consistent execution•Managing inventory and ordering systems for household supplies•Supervising deliveries, returns, and household logistics•Managing vendor relationships (exterminators, plumbers, contractors, etc.)•Proactively identifying and addressing household maintenance needs•Quality control for all household services•Setting up systems to maintain consistent standardsWeeklyAs Needed•Coordinating with weekly cleaning service to maintain high standards•Managing inventory and ordering systems for household supplies•Managing Grocery needs -inventory, procurement, etc•Basic food prep-smoothie packets, veggie prep, etc•Researching and coordinating home projects and improvements•Proactively identifying and addressing household maintenance needs, i,e•Exterminators•Chimney Sweep•GardenersSeasonal•Holiday Decor management•Outdoor maintenance with gardener and other vendors (arranging snow removal, irrigation turn on, etc.) Family Assistance •Comprehensive packing services for family travel•Creating and maintaining packing lists•Managing pre-trip preparations and post-trip organization•Researching and purchasing gifts for special occasions•Managing returns for online purchases•Coordinating special errands•Eventparty planning and execution•Table setting and event preparation•Coordinating with Executive Assistant on calendar and scheduling needs Administrative Support •Research for home or personal projects•Maintaining records of household warranty information•Light administrative tasks as needed Qualifications •Extensive experience in household management andor personal assistance•Strong organizational skills and systems-thinking approach•Exceptional attention to detail•Proactive problem-solving abilities•Experience creating and maintaining household systems•Excellent time management skills•Strong communication skills and professional demeanor•High level of discretion and confidentiality•Proficiency with digital tools (MS Office, online calendars, etc.)•Valid driver's license•Comfortable working in a family environment Ideal Candidate Qualities •Takes initiative to identify and solve problems•Demonstrates exceptional follow-through•Thrives in a dynamic environment•Maintains high standards of quality and cleanliness•Strong eye for detail and organization•Ability to prioritize effectively•Hands-on approach to household maintenance•Resourceful and solution-oriented•Professional, warm demeanor•Collaborative approach•Flexibility and adaptability Additional Considerations•We have a dedicated Nanny who handles all childcare•Weekly cleaning service currently handles deep cleaning, but daily maintenance and reset is essential•This role is responsible for ensuring the house is consistently tidy and organized•We value consistency and high standards throughout the house
