We are seeking an experienced and strategic Network Manager for one of Verinext's clients in Atlanta, GA 30345.The Network Manager holds primary responsibility for implementing, maintaining, and supporting secure connectivity to and from all network resources. This includes all switching, routing, firewall, VPN, External DNS, application load-balancing, and DNS failover in a multi-datacenter environment with approximately 160 WAN network nodes. The Network Manager is accountable for directing staff, planning and executing projects, and providing client-focused service to drive successful business outcomes.Candidates must be within commuting distance of the client's office located in Atlanta, GA 30345 for a hybrid working arrangement. Requirements Duties and Responsibilities: Serves as the organization's networking expert, ensuring network reliability and integrity. Manages and mentors a team of four network professionals. Oversees delivery of network infrastructure projects through effective planning and resource coordination. Implements best practices and updates department processes for operational efficiency and security. Maintains technical documentation for network systems and troubleshooting procedures. Ensures network security and identifies risks to protect systems and data. Acts as a problem resolution resource for internal staff and direct reports. Collaborates with departments to meet network maintenance and compliance standards. Leads technical decisions for vendor selection and contract management. Builds relationships with stakeholders to enhance service quality. Manages annual budget and forecasts expenses for network projects. Designs and supports network hardware including LANs, WANs, and appliances. Creates network topologies to meet complex organizational requirements. Configures and supports various network connections, including VPN. Monitors network performance for uptime and utilization. Troubleshoots and resolves network issues efficiently. Documents changes in system settings and configurations. Participates in after-hours support for infrastructure changes and outages. Collaborates with service providers and vendors for network maintenance. Manages telecom connections and billing for all accounts. Engages in ongoing education to stay current with networking best practices. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: 10+ years in network design, management, and maintenance 5+ years of team leadership and management experience Strong multitasking and project management skills Excellent strategic thinking and proactive decision-making abilities Proficient in documenting and designing network infrastructure Demonstrates professionalism and prioritizes client satisfaction Builds strong relationships to foster a collaborative environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto equipment, including: routers, switches and firewalls Advanced knowledge of routers, firewalls, and network protocols Implementation of NAT, Policy NAT, Policy PAT, Twice NAT, Manual, after-auto NAT features Expertise in application load balancing and NAT implementations Experience with routed IP networks, including detailed knowledge of access lists, source-based routing, QOS, SNMP management, and router protocols (BGP, OSPF) Knowledge of network security, policy generation, intrusion detection, and industry best practices Highly developed LAN optimization skills, including VLANs, switching, EtherChannel, and Spanning-tree configuration and troubleshooting Strong background in WAN technology, with emphasis placed on the following WAN technologies: Cable, Fiber, Metro Ethernet, and SD-WAN Experience with PCI compliant security implementations on network infrastructure Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed. Not significant travel. Preferred Qualifications: Cisco CCNACCNP, or a comparable level certification on a non-Cisco platform; CCNP Enterprise, Data Center, or Security (or equivalent level certification on a different industry leading platform) Experience using SolarWinds, Palo Alto firewalls, Meraki switches and wireless access points, and Wireshark Proficiency with the F5 platform load balancers, iRules, and policies Experience with monitoring and maintaining network devices utilizing SNMP, Netflow, and Syslog protocols
