Project Manager- Process Safety ManagementDepartment: HCG AssociatesEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: Milwaukee, WIDescriptionHCG Associates specializes in Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Program (RMPrograms) of anhydrous ammonia refrigeration systems including mechanical integrity, engineering, and all EHS regulatory matters. With offices in Taunton, Massachusetts; Newport News, Virginia; Houston, Texas; and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, we are seeking a motivated Project Manager (PM) to join our growing team in the Wisconsin region. In this role, the PM will work closely with other PMs and partner on PSM and ammonia compliance related projects. This is an excellent career opportunity to work with experts on challenging safety and risk projects for a myriad of industries and clients.The Project Manager is responsible for assisting clients in managing their regulatory programs and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal occupational and environmental safety regulations. Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstanding of the ammonia refrigeration processDevelop and assist in implementation of PSMRMPrograms to include development of operating procedures, offsite consequence analyses, and EPA Risk Management Plan (RMPlan) submittalsDocument client visits, tracking progress of program implementation, recommendation status, compliance dates, and other pertinent communications of client interactionsAssist clients in the tracking of compliance project recommendations through to resolution of process hazard analyses (PHAs), compliance audits, mechanical integrity inspections, and IIAR 9 gap analysesAbility to provide detailed regulatory interpretation of federal and state regulations as well as recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices (RAGAGEP) as they pertain to IIAR standards and other industry best practicesProcess safety leadership experience at the facility levelFacilitateLead specific compliance projects such as PHAs, compliance audits, IIAR 9 gap analysesExperience training in PSM and PSM related areas such as ammonia awareness, emergency action plans, operator training, etc.Assist client in tracking of compliance due dates to ensure on-time completion of mechanical integrity inspections and tests, operating procedure certifications, compliance audits, PHAs, offsite consequence analyses, RMPlan submittals, etc.Assist in development of managements of change (MoCs), to include conducting pre-startup safety reviews, focused PHAs, update RMPlans, update written program elements, developmentreview of standard operating procedures, etc.Assist clients during federal and state EPA and OSHA (as well as local agency) regulatory interactionsExperienceUnderstanding in Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to read Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseBachelor of Science in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering (Safety Engineering Preferred), Occupational Health and Safety, or related disciplinesCertification as Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Associate Safety Professional (ASP) Certified Safety Professional (CSP), International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR)Refrigerating Engineers and Technicians Association (RETA) Certification, andor similar registrationFive years ammonia safety compliance understanding related to OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) Standard (29 CFR 1910.119) and the EPA's RMProgram Rule under Section 112(r) of the 1990 Clean Air ActAbility to travel up to 50%Ammonia system operatorHighly motivated with ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments and meeting strict deadlinesAbility to work remotely and independently Proactive, independent, technically competent, assertive, well-spoken, and proven ability to successfully perform in high-pressure environment Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsCustomer oriented strategic thinkingBenefitsEligible for healthcare benefits on Day 1 of employment: Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverageHealth Reimbursement Arrangement (shared cost deductible)Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Spending Account (DCSA)Health Savings Account (HSA)Company-paid Life Insurance; Supplemental Employee, Spouse, and Dependent LifeAccident Hospital IndemnityCompany-paid Short and Long-term Disability InsurancePet InsuranceEmployer matched 401(k) saving plan (with Roth option)Weekly paycheckGenerous paid holiday schedule (11 days per year)Paid time off (vacation + sick time)Learning & Development programsEmployee Referral Bonus ProgramTuition Reimbursement
