We work closely with builders, contractors, and residents to uphold local and state building codes through thorough plan reviews, inspections, and code enforcement.Position Summary: We are seeking skilled Building Code Plan Examiners Reviewers with ICC certification to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing construction plans, inspecting building projects, and enforcing compliance with local and state building codes. This position involves assessing residential, commercial, and industrial projects to ensure safety, structural integrity, and adherence to zoning laws and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Review building plans and permit applications to confirm compliance with local and state building codesConduct on-site inspections of construction projects to ensure adherence to approved plans and applicable codesCommunicate code requirements clearly to architects, contractors, and property owners, providing guidance on necessary changes or adjustmentsIssue violation notices or stop-work orders for projects that fail to meet code standardsMaintain accurate records of inspections, reviews, and enforcement actionsStay current on building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards, applying updates as necessaryCollaborate with other inspectors, engineers, and enforcement officers to address complex code issuesQualifications:REQUIRED: ICC (Internation Code Council) Certification as Building Code Plan Examiner ReviewerMinimum of 3 years of experience in building plan review, inspection, or code enforcementThorough understanding of local and state building codes, zoning regulations, and construction safety standardsStrong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurately reviewing plans and conducting inspectionsExcellent communication skills for clearly conveying code requirements and violationsValid driver's license and reliable transportation for on-site inspectionsPreferred Qualifications:Additional certifications in related fields, such as Plumbing, Mechanical, or Electrical InspectionsExperience with both residential and commercial building projectsFamiliarity with permitting software and electronic plan review systems
