Join us for a rewarding career in the aviation industry!BECOME A GSE MECHANIC III!As a GSE Mechanic Level III, your primary responsibility will be repairing and maintaining both motorized and non-motorized Airline & Aircraft Ground Service Equipment. In this role, you will carry out advanced maintenance and repairs on a wide range of ground support equipment.WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK AS A GSE MECHANIC IIIExceed PrimeFlight customer service expectationsDemonstrate safety practices to comply with company standardsService equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid and compressed airLog equipment numbers to be repaired with description of work to be done on each pieceInspect, Maintain, Troubleshoot, Replace, Repair, Overhaul or Modify:engines and transmissionselectrical systemsbrakes and braking systemshydraulic and pneumatic systems on mobile lift and conveyor systemsbumpers and body workbag cart curtains & curtain rodstowing hitches and towing barsundercarriages, wheels and tiresbushings, shafts, end places, springs, coils, armatures, push rods, valves, manifolds, tubing, hose and wiringRemove, test, repair or replace components and accessories such as carburetors, governors, air and oil cleaners, ignition points and auditory sensorsCheck and adjust tolerance of valves, bearings, cams, clutches and drive shaftsDiagnose problems using test equipment and applicable manualsOperate and test ground equipment for performance assessmentCompleted associated paperwork and track partsQUALIFICATIONS18 years of age or olderEligible to work in the United States6 years of verified experience requiredMust provide their own tools and toolboxDemonstrate regular, predictable attendance at job location Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents Ability to use electronic devices including IPadsTablets, Computers, and Mobile DevicesEffectively communicate both in-person and through electronic means Valid State Driver's License with a verifiable safe vehicle operating recordPass a background check and drug screen Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)Ability to work any dayshift, including holidays, within a 247 operationPHYSICAL ACTIVITYWORKING CONDITIONS MSY INCLUDE: Ability to lift up to 70 poundsPosition is generally sedentary, sitting for long periods of timeProlonged standing and walking in an indooroutdoor environment as applicable Must be able to push, pullMust be able to crawl, at times in confined tight spaces Must be able to bend, stretch, squat Must be able to work at elevated heightsExposure to moderate and at times high noise levelsExposure to Biohazards andor ChemicalsExposure to outdoor elementsBe able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarmsTasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands andor fingersSpecific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus) Airlines are 247, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
