Every employee takes a person-centered approach that exemplifies the ICARE values (Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence) through empathic communication and partnerships between all persons.Work ShiftsSHIFT II 8:00AM-4:00PMJob DescriptionPURPOSE OF POSITIONThe Licensed Social Work Level Il is an LMSW or LCSW on the inpatient service who independently as well as in collaboration with transdisciplinary teams, identifies psychosocial issues and concerns of patients and their families and provides appropriate clinical services to meet their needs.AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIESLicensed clinician with at minimum 1 year of experience working with the severely mentally ill, chemically addicted and intellectually disabled population who will be responsible for conducting psychosocial assessments for patients in an acute inpatient psychiatric unit. Candidate must be able to work and engage with the severely mentally ill, substance abuse and intellectually disabled population, their families and community providers, possess knowledge of resources and services for this population.SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES•The duties include, serving as a member of the clinical interdisciplinary team on the inpatient psychiatric service conducting initial assessment, documenting biopsychosocial assessments, formulation and disposition, developing comprehensive treatment plans, facilitating supportive, psychoeducational and insight-oriented psychotherapeutic interventions, participating weekly supervision, providing crisis interventions to high-risk patients, engaging with and providing support to families, and engaging them as partners in recovery.•Identifying and collaborating with existing support systems, facilitating community referrals as needed, collaborating with interdisciplinary treatment team to develop most appropriate case disposition, documenting all interventions within the required regulatory timeframes.•Additional duties include partnering with OMH, DHS, ACS and OPWDD on behalf of patients served.•Candidate may be assigned to work in other clinical areas as needed when patient care needs arise.Good organization and writing skills as well as ability to work in a fast paced environment required. English proficient is a must; ability to communicate in Spanish or Creole a plusMinimum QualificationsFor Assignment to Level II1. Valid license as an LMSW issued by the NYSED; or2.
