Strategic Leadership:Collaborate with the CEO, Leadership Team, Board of Directors, and staff to define, plan, and implement the agency's vision, direction, and strategy.Lead the strategic management of all fundraising initiatives, with an emphasis on major, individual, and planned giving.Drive the recruitment of new corporate and workplace partnerships, leveraging the PresidentCEO as needed.Ensure the Engagement team effectively prospects new partners and stewards current partners and investors.Provide strategic input for short- and long-term organizational planning.Identify and address development and recruitment challenges.Develop and implement comprehensive development, marketing, and recruitment plan.Stay informed about developments in philanthropy, current trends, policies, and issues.Develop a balanced funding mix of donors and solicitation tactics.Regularly evaluate the effectiveness and performance of engagement initiatives.Team Leadership:Oversee and manage all fundraising, recruitment, marketing, and communications activities.Lead fund development, recruitment, and communications planning, including strategies, tactics, goals, benchmarks, and evaluation.Ensure sound fiscal oversight and reporting of revenue and expenses.Foster a collaborative, energetic, and inspiring leadership style that creates a supportive and authentic work environment for staff and volunteers.Identify, recruit, oversee, coach, and mentor direct reports in fundraising, recruitment, administration, and marketingvest in the success of the team through regular individual, team, and department meetings; professional development; and performance and accountability spiring Partnership and Investment:Design and implement a relationship-based, volunteer and donor-centric fundraising and recruitment program to meet the growing needs of the organization.Maintain a personal portfolio of relationships, actively managing and soliciting donors through the fundraising cycle.Develop and implement planned giving strategies in partnership with the Mission Officer.Assist the CEO, Board of Directors, and other fundraising volunteers and staff in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting gifts.Ensure the design, active management, and success of special events, cultivation and recognition programs, data management, and donor research and reporting. RequirementsRequired Qualifications and Requirements:Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, and five to ten years of successful fund development or sales experience Development or sales management experience preferredSuperior verbal and written communication skills; an effective listener and presenterHigh energy, results orientedMust have viable transportation, valid drivers' license Skills and Experience:Demonstrates honesty and transparency, is not afraid to admit mistakesDemonstrates a "Can Do" attitude and views setbacks as opportunities to growMust be willing to work 40 hours each workweek and be available at peak work periods for additional work hoursStrategic, creative, progressive thinkerFoster continuous communicationExceptional interpersonal skills and ability to influence and persuade key stakeholdersStrong degree of integrity.
