Hiring Opportunity: Akron, OHOur client in Cuyahoga Falls is looking to hire a first shift Manual Machinist to join their growing team! Our client was a leader in automotive manufacturing up until the early 2010's and now is one of the world leading manufacturers in the aerospace and defense industries. With a 20% growth last year and a projected 20% growth this year, this growing company is looking for a self motivated individual to come join their team!Job RequirementsResponsibilities:- Fabricate and machine components in a variety of materials, from drawings blueprints- Set-up and operate all machine tools in a tool room environment including but not limited to,conventional mills, lathes, drill presses, saws and grinders. (CNC mill & lathe a plus)Skills and Qualifications:- Must be able to work independently with minimum guidance- Strong lathe experience needed- Help out in other areas of shop when needed- Trade school experience is preferred (Machining, Fabrication, etc)- 5+ years of Machining experience in a manufacturing setting- Capable of using standard tools and measurement devices such as micrometers, scales, rulers,depth gauges and calipers- Basic computer skills (preferably able to read and render Auto CadSolidworks)Benefits:- BRAND NEW MACHINERY!!
