DescriptionPLEASE NOTE THAT FLEX SECURITY OFFICERS BUILD THEIR SCHEDULE ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS AND ARE NOT ASSIGNED CONSISTENT WEEKLY HOURS Shift Days: Monday-SundayShift Hours: OvernightsAs a Flex Security Officer with Blackwell Professional Support Services, Inc., you will conduct foot andor mobile patrols to oversee a physical property, protect and assist residents, tenants, and visitors with high-touch customer service, collaborate with third party vendors, and meet the demands of the property. This position reports directly to the Security Supervisor or District Manager assigned to the property.As a Flex Security Officer, you will act as a member of our rapid response team to provide coverage when our base team members are unavailable. Flex Security Officer do not have a consistent weekly schedule, but build their schedule around their personal availability and the needs of the district on a week-to-week basis. Role and ResponsibilitiesExamine doors, windows, and gates to ensure securityPerform security patrols in vehicle, on foot, and in areas that may not be climate controlledMonitor building(s) and report unauthorized person andor suspicious activitiesEducate individuals of property policies such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden itemsRespond and report to emergency situations in association with property policiesMonitor assigned parking areas andor garages and enforce parking area policiesProvide excellent customer service to clients, vendors, and visitorsMaintain excellent communication and reportingMonitor cameras, alarm systems, and other specialized software as neededObserve and report events throughout the day by radio or written Security Officer Report (SOR)Complete detailed security incident reports for all events occurring on shiftAdditional property specific duties may be requiredObserve and report events throughout the dayAnswer client, vendor, and visitor questions and incoming callsMaintain excellent communication and reportingMonitor cameras, alarm systems, and other specialized softwareUtilize a computer system to maintain digital records and communicationAbility to reliably commute to various assignment locations within the districtAdditional property specific duties may be requiredBenefitsLeading industry compensationPaid Time Off (PTO)Employee referral programMajor holidays paid at 1.5x hourly rateAvailable overtime and special detail opportunitiesContinuing education, development, and cross-trainingPerformance raisesRequirementsJob RequirementThe list below is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.
