Compensation Range$71,500.00 - $107,300.00 Annual SalaryJob Description Summary:Job Description:POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Manage all sales and use tax matters, including, but not limited to, planning, compliance, audit defense, and researchAct as a knowledge base for sales and use tax, franchise tax, and other local tax obligations for all SubsidiariesSupport handling of sales and use tax, franchise tax, property tax, any other local tax obligationsMaintain organized records of all tax filings, payments, and correspondenceAssist in the preparation and filing of federal and state income tax returns (30+ states) as well as supporting the Tax Manager in the preparation of the income tax provision for financial statement purposesPrepare various schedules regarding tax planning including projected effective tax rates and other forecasting with the Tax ManagerCollaborate with IT and finance teams to improve tax automation and reporting systems while maintaining the existing technologies within the tax functionSupport system upgrades or implementations to comply with evolving tax lawsInterface with various tax authorities including handling tax audits across the company, as necessaryStay current with any current or future pronouncements regarding tax policy changesIdentify opportunities to improve and otherwise streamline tax function, including optimizing current processesAct as a knowledge base for state and local tax regulations for project or financial managers, which may include new research tasksHelp explain tax considerations to a non-tax audience within and outside of the finance departmentWork with external advisors to address complex tax matters.Support special tax projects regarding aspects of all taxesMINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in taxation, accounting, finance, or similarMinimum 4 years of income tax and indirect tax compliance experience in public accounting andor a corporate tax departmentAdvanced Excel skills for data analysis and reportingStrong federal and state corporate tax knowledge and research skillsStrong understanding of sales and use tax regulations in the U.S. Familiarity with nexus rules, taxability, and exemption certificatesUnderstanding of U.S. GAAP and U.S. tax laws and regulationsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesOutstanding communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate with other members of the tax function, financeaccounting function, and the company in generalSUMMARY OF BENEFITS:This role is eligible for the following benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company matching, Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), individual stock ownership, paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays, bereavement leave, employee assistance program, pre-tax flexible spending accounts, basic term life insurance and AD&D, business travel accident insurance, short and long term disability, financial wellness coaching, educational assistance, membership, ClassPass fitness membership, and DashPass delivery membership.
