The Arkema site in Birdsboro, PA is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor. This role is responsible for the oversight of all maintenance shift operations and employees and to plan, schedule, and communicate the activities of the maintenance department, encompassing planned and unplanned work, capital projects, and preventative maintenance, among related activities.The Maintenance Supervisor communicates directly with Maintenance Manager and Plant Manager as needed regarding issues with people, schedule, and possible solutions to demand.Responsibilities•Prioritize and schedule maintenance activities required to maintain the safety, quality, and integrity of the plantand equipment including preventative maintenance and maintenance work associated with capital projects.•Assigns maintenance work schedules, projects and tasks to maintenance staff.•Work closely with the engineering and production groups during the installation of new projects, review ofproject plans and discussion of defect elimination.•Develop and improve the Preventive Maintenance program at the plant.•Provide back-up supervision of maintenance staff in absence of Manager.•Issues storeroom materials according to policy and practice.•Purchase and maintain MROMaintenance inventories. Maintains stock levels and re-orders materials.•Manage small capital projects, typically between $50,000 to $75,000, through bidding jobs with contractorsand management of contractors. Partners with purchasing dept. to obtain and select quotes.•Maintain a clean, organized storeroom and incorporate clean design practices.•Establish list of annual equipment inspections such as hoists, boilers, backflow preventers, etc. and ensure theverifications are scheduled and completed.•Coordinate certain contractor activities•Mentoring and coaching of shift employees in order to meet department goals.•Communicate effectively with other members of the management team, peers and subordinates.•Sustain SMART culture daily: drive participation in meetings, identify needs within team, coach employees toenhance ownership and problem solving.•Shape behavior of the workforce by enforcing standards of safety, quality and standard operating procedures.Reinforce all employees' efforts in the preparation of standard documents.•Demonstrate safety leadership- ensure shift employees follow all safety procedures. This includes utilization ofrequired personal protective equipment (PPE), and full knowledge and administration of high risk procedures.•Perform accidentincident investigations and complete related computer entries. Lead teams in performingcomplex investigations as required.•Acts as lead contact for all plant safety systems to include, alarms, sprinkler and security systems.•Actively support the Behavioral Based Safety Training (BEST) through self and team.•Supports Loss Control policy, AIMS, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems.•Work all functions within SAP including to create, generate and print all work orderplanning reports andobtain quotes, create requisitions, schedule outside services and materials, and receive invoices. Ensure that allentries in SAP are correct and valid.•Responsible for timely and accurate timekeeping for production employee payroll.QualificationsRequirements•Minimum High School education.•10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 5 years in industrial maintenance role toinclude progressive responsibility in maintenance planning.•Prior Supervisory experience required.•Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.•Knowledge of the maintenance process and process equipment are firm requirements.•Proven knowledge of and ability to work in SAP to include the Work Order, Storeroom, and PurchasingsystemsWho we are?
