The majority of the assets are managed internally, and SFM can invest globally in a wide range of investment strategies and asset classes, including equities, credit, fixed income, macro and private equity. Position Overview SFM's Crossover Investing team is looking to add a junior analyst to evaluate investment opportunities across private and public companies. The team has a global mandate across all sectors and across the capital structure, with a preference for taking concentrated positions. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in investing privately and publicly, possess excellent financial modeling skills, and be versatile across industries, with a deep sense of integrity and eagerness to grow. Major Responsibilities Support the investment team in evaluating crossover investment opportunities across private and public companiesPerform due diligence on potential investments and consolidate findings into detailed reportsAssist in managing existing investments and providing regular updates to the teamConduct independent research, valuation, and industry analysesCreate and maintain detailed financial models and internal reportsInteract with internal and external subject matter expertsEngage with management teams and corporatesReview investor reports and third-party researchRequirementsBachelor's degree from a top university2-4 years of experience in the financial industry, preferably investment banking or the buy-side in longshort equity, private equity, or venture capitalA strong demonstrated interest in investing in private and public companies across sectors and across capital structureIdeal background from TMT, Consumer, Industrials, or HealthcareAbility to conduct comprehensive fundamental research independentlyStellar problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skillsExpected to have outstanding financial modeling abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAble to engage confidently with C-level executivesComfortable in a high-pressure, fast-paced environmentAble to take direction and show initiative as appropriatePossesses a deep sense of integrity and intellectual honestyHas demonstrated an ability to work effectively on a teamAbility to speak a second language preferredCore ValuesIn all respects, needs to reflect the following SFM core values:IntegrityTeamworkSmart risk-takingOwner's MindsetHumilityAnticipated Salary RangeWe anticipate the base salary for this role will be in the range of $125k - $150kIn addition to a base salary, the successful candidate will also be eligible to receive a discretionary year-end bonus, as well as other benefits.
