They work in collaboration with the Merchandising Coordinator to develop weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly merchandising plans. They are accountable for ensuring excellent food and staff safety standards. They uphold high food quality standards, adhering to Health Department regulations and Company RFB (Ready for Business) guidelines. The Deli Manager is responsible for the training and development of staff, covering everything from customer service to management functions and encouraging an environment of successorship. The Deli Manager cultivates a positive team culture, fosters good vendor relationships, and collaborates with Retail Central Services (RCS) to introduce innovative food ideas to enhance the Uwajimaya Experience. Exemplifying excellent customer service, the Deli Manager upholds company policies, guidelines, and procedures. The Deli Manager reports to the Store Director (SD) and Assistant Store Director (ASD), working closely with the Corporate Support staff.Position's Key Responsibilities: Ensure training and development of staff with a focus on department leadership.Ensure Ready for Business Standards are met.Establish excellent employee relations and engagement.Ensure strict compliance with food and workplace safety policies.Maintain fiscal health with a focus on sales and gross revenue.Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and administrative records.Build positive inter-departmental, corporate, vendor and customer relations.Maintain facility and equipment cleanliness.Starting at $65,478 annually, Depending on Experience + Bonus Opportunities.Uwajimaya participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility.
