We take our jobs seriously, but at the same time we have fun doing it.Looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse LPN to direct nursing care to the residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistants. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility and as may be required by the Long Term Care Nurse Manager, DON andor ADON to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. To provide and model high levels of customer service to residents, family members and co-workers.Job Responsibilities of a Licensed Practical Nurse LPN:Ensuring that safety and sanitation standards are maintained in residents' rooms and all work areasPreparing and administering medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with the facility's policies and procedures.Participating in orientation of new staff to the unitConsulting with the resident's physician in providing the resident's cares, treatments, rehabilitation, etc.Notifying the resident's physician and next of kin when there is an incident involving the resident or a change in the resident's condition.Administering professional services within the scope of nursing practice as catheterization, suction, applying and changing dressings, packs, and such other professional services as required and orderedFollowing organizational policies and procedures when providing nursing careObtaining specimens for lab testing as orderedMonitoring seriously ill residents as necessarySupervising and reviewing the performance of all assigned STNA staff providing care to residentsReceiving and transcribing physician's orders in accordance with facility proceduresCompleting all necessary charting as required and in accordance with established charting and documentation policies and procedures.QualificationsJob Qualifications of a Licensed Practical Nurse LPN:Must possess a current, active license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse LPN in Ohio.Current CPR certification.
