As the Branch Manager you will be accountable for key performance metrics by managing a team of installers, and other field personnel who are responsible for site auditing, permitting, installing, inspecting, and servicing solar projects. You are responsible for scheduling and overseeing the installation of solar projects as well as a smooth handoff between the inspection department. You ensure adherence to contract specifications and established policies and procedures. You are familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Works closely with Branch Coordinator, Project Manager and Field Manager. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee all Operations and Administrative task for designated Branch LocationPlan and coordinate installations of photovoltaic (PV) solar systems to ensure conformance to codes and Freedom Forever standardsManage, motivate, and mentor a variety of personnel involved in the installation & inspection of solar projects which may include Crew Lead(s), Roof Lead(s), Installer(s), Branch Coordinator, Site Auditors(s), Project Manager, Warehouse Specialist(s), and Field ManagerEvaluate and manage the resources and processes required for the successful completion of a high volume of residential and small commercial solar projectsDrive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and Productivity throughout branch operationsEnsure that every member of the branch team receives the proper safety training and equipment applicable to their position and follows Standard Operating Procedures for SafetyEnsure that "Best Practices" are being consistently applied throughout the branch operationsRemotely assess potential solar installation sites to determine feasibility and design requirementsAssess system performance or functionality at the system, subsystem, and component levelsOversee a team that schedule building inspections for solar installation projectsRemotely monitor work of subcontractors to ensure projects conform to specifications, schedules, or budgetsProvide technical assistance to installers, technicians, or other solar professionals in areas such as solar electric systems, solar thermal systems, electrical systems, and mechanical systemsPrepare solar installation project proposals, quotes, budgets, or schedulesEstimate materials, equipment, and personnel needed for residential or commercial solar installation projectsIdentify means to reduce costs, minimize risks, or increase efficiency of solar installation projectsAssures the quality of work produced is acceptable to company standards and specificationWork closely with the Regional Operations Manager and the Director of Operations to provide accurate installation forecasts and branch performance reportingWork to ensure that we are delivering an excellent customer experience and escalate customer concerns as necessaryFollows the safety program established specifically for all installations, site audits, inspections, and service callsManage corporate facilities as necessaryPerform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Education & Certifications: High school diploma or GEDExperience: Must have a minimum of 3+ year experienceKnowledge, Skills & Abilities: Possess good communication skills that will enhance vendor and supplier relationships, as well as with the installation teamPossess strong organizational skills and capable of making decisions without constant supervisionAbility to read and interpret job orders, understands specifications and to read a tape measurePossess a wide range of carpentry skills to provide accurate remote job assessmentCapable of learning new skills as neededHave knowledge of materials and processes that relate to the company's productsMust have a valid state driving license and a clean driving recordAbility to work in a fast environmentSpecial Skills & Training: Good computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite, experience with Company's CRM and ERP systems is a plusPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIERegularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computersRegularly spend long hours answering phone calls and emailsRegularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlesslyRegularly spend long hours in intense concentration reviewing and entering information into acomputer Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objectsRegularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet awayRegularly speak clearly so listeners can understandRegularly understand the speech of another personFrequently work in on projects that require deadlinesFrequently bend to file and maintain filesOccasionally lift 5-10 poundsTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS (Employee is required to travel for business purposes, not including commute to and from work.)
