As a member of the Princess Family, you'll enjoy a truly adventurous career with excellent incentives, unlimited opportunities for growth, and ports of call that will leave you breathless.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Finance Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the Finance Director, Finance Manager, and Inventory Manager in conducting audits, managing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with all financial policies and procedures. You will be responsible for supporting the onboard team, handling various financial and inventory-related tasks, and helping to create a culture aligned with Princess Cruises' core values of Protect, Respect, and Connect.Financial Auditing & Compliance:Assist with audits that assess the adequacy and conformity to financial policies and procedures.Ensure adherence to HESS protocols and financial controls.Conduct thorough inventory audits in collaboration with the Inventory Manager, ensuring accurate reporting and variance investigation.Perform spot checks of physical inventory across various onboard locations (bars, storerooms, etc.).Credit Card & Cash Handling:Post daily gratuities and manage daily batch authorizations for credit cards.Resolve outstanding balances with guests promptly, ensuring timely payment.Handle credit card processing and provide manual authorizations when necessary.Manage financial transactions with precision, including foreign exchange and cash float balancing.Payroll & Teammate Financial Services:Assist in managing payroll, teammate pay card functions, and reimbursements.Serve as Crew Club Treasurer, maintaining accurate records of the Crew Welfare ledger.Assist with travel expenses, processing cash advances for European crew, and CAPS payments for secondary ventory Management & Systems:Collaborate with the Inventory Manager to perform physical inventory checks and enter results into the inventory system.Ensure inventory counts are accurate and assist with daily processing of Point of Sale (POS) files.Guest Account Management:Monitor guest accounts for outstanding balances, declined credit card authorizations, and cash deposits.Resolve financial disputes or questions from guests, providing clear communication and ensuring satisfaction.Operational Support:Support the onboard hotel team and participate in officer visibility events.Assist in the administration of Special Services programs and balance Gifts and Services vouchers.Policy Adherence & Teamwork:Ensure adherence to all company policies, SOPs, and financial regulations.Foster a positive, cooperative environment within the finance department and across teams.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseProven experience in finance or accounting, with a strong understanding of auditing and financial controls.Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle large amounts of cash and financial transactions.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.Demonstrated customer service skills, particularly in handling financial issues with empathy and professionalism.Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.A solid understanding of inventory management and point-of-sale systems is a plus.Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive financial data with integrity.BenefitsPrincess Cruises offers many benefits.
