Geotechnical Driller Helper

DescriptionNavarro & Wright Consulting Engineers, Inc. is accepting resumes for a Geotechnical Driller Assistant to support the drilling crew in the drilling operation. N&W provides civil engineering and related services for Transportation, SiteCivil Infrastructure, Municipal and Energy industry clients. N&W provides drilling services for geotechnical, environmental and construction projects. The successful candidate will:Assist Geotechnical Driller with soil borings, well installation, soil sampling, rock coring, and visual soil classificationDrives medium duty trucks to various job sites as directed by supervisor.Haul supplies to and from the drill siteMixing drilling fluidsLoads appropriate drilling sampling and well installation tools and supplies onto trucks or drill rigs as directed by supervisor.Performs preventative maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisors and prepares documentation.Performs miscellaneous maintenance duties in field or shop as directed by supervisors.Mechanical ability to do minor repairsPerform physical labor, shoveling, drilling debris, and transporting materials using ergonomically correct lifting techniquesAbility to fill in for driller when qualifiedKnowledge of safety policies and proceduresMaintain all certificationsMaintenanceorganization of vehicle tracking paperwork andor digital filesPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDValid PA Driver's License (CDL Class B or higher Driver's license preferred)Adhere to USDOT drug and alcohol requirementsMust be willing to travelOne year of steady working experience in construction or drillingAbility to lift up to 70 pounds throughout the day. Work is generally physically demandingWork is outdoors in all weather conditions.
