Job DetailsJob LocationExecutive - DFW - Bedford, TXDescriptionPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITYThe Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is responsible for the medical and technical leadership and direction of all Carter BloodCare (CBC) operations.The CMO serves with executive management, in sharing administrative duties under the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and helps provide leadership in the CEO's absence. This position serves as the administrative head of the Medical Services Department, including directly overseeing the Medical Directors. Regular full-time attendance is required during normal working hours.QualificationsEDUCATION M.D., D.O., or equivalent degreeLicensed or eligible for a Texas medical license and the ability to obtain other state medical licensure, as neededBoard-certified in transfusion medicine or in a related fieldWORK EXPERIENCEMinimum of 7 years of experience in blood bankingtransfusion medicine or related field Minimum of 3 years of supervisoryadministrative experienceMinimum of 1 year of therapeutic apheresis experience, preferredMinimum of 1 year of cellular therapy experience, preferredMinimum of 5 years in a blood donor center setting, preferredSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGECurrent knowledge of blood banking, transfusion medicine and advanced biotherapy regulations and standardTeam-building and interpersonal relationship skillsAbility to speak in front of professional groups Carter BloodCare is an EEOAffirmative Action employer.
