Job DescriptionBenelux Tek Aerospace, a well-known multinational company in the aerospace industry with operations in the United States is looking for the following position in Tampa, Florida, USA.Position: Aircraft Structures Technician Location: Tampa, FloridaResponsibilities:Preferred experience:2 years commercial heavy jet experience in MRO settingWill accept: 2 years military experience on acceptable aircraftWill accept: Equal mix of commercial heavy jet and helosWill accept: Equal mix of commercial heavy jet and regional jetsWill accept: Equal mix of military acceptable jet and regional jetsWill accept: Equal mix of military acceptable jet and helosMust have thorough working knowledge of all forms and documents required to support heavy maintenance service, including, but not limited to Company policy and procedure manuals, FAR's, AD's, Service Bulletins, and Maintenance Manuals.Must be able to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, blueprints, and drawings.Must be efficient in the use and application of tools, gauges, instruments, etc. necessary for the accomplishment of duties assigned.Must have an understanding and working knowledge of hazardous material handling and disposal as related to the job assignment.Must be able to obtain an airport SIDA badge (pass criminal background check)Technical:Restore or repair defects using unique aircraft fastening hardware, composite materials, chemicals, adhesives, paints, and textiles.Manufacture aircraft equipment, components or replacement items from base metals using special cutting tools and milling machines.Fabricate and repair aircraft structures using composite, fiberglass, textiles, leather, plastic, and synthetic components.Ensure that all maintenance operations are conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, company policies and procedures.Troubleshoot aircraft's structural systems to identify problems and adjustrepair the defects according to specifications, technical drawings, manuals, and established procedures.Perform and document scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance as dictated by the manufacturer,Skills:Positive attitude and strong work ethicDemonstrated organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to learn and understand the company's organizational systems and workflowAbility to work effectively independently and as part of a teamGood oral and written communication skillsAble to effectively train apprenticesAbility to accept constructive criticismBasic computer skills and familiarity with IntranetWilling to pursue additional company training as requiredRequirements:3 or more years of experience as an Aircraft Structures TechnicianAbility to follow written and verbal directions with strong attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to identify plete tasks accurately and efficiently with high attention to detail.Capable of working under pressure with tight deadlines.
