Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Role: Accounting Manager Who You Are: You are an experienced accounting professional with a history of several years of GAAPIFRS accounting experience. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, managing daily accounting functions, and supporting the organization's financial goals through effective leadership and process improvements. What You'll Do: Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports and ensure compliance with GAAPIFRS and other relevant accounting standards.Manage monthly and annual closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.Establish, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.Collaborate with external auditors to support audit processes.Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and provide variance analyses and insights to support strategic decision-making.Prepare and file monthly sales tax and annual reports in multiple states.Limited Accounts Payable and Receivable processing to ensure timely invoicing, payment processing, and collections.Process payroll for salary and hourly employees for various segments of the organization.Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy, leveraging technology to automate accounting functions where possible.Work closely with other departments, such as finance, HR, and operations, to address accounting and financial needs.Lead or assist with special projects, such as system implementations, mergers, or acquisitions.Other duties as assigned.What You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance 5+ years of progressive accounting experienceExperience with general ledger functions, reconciliations, and financial reportingKnowledge of multi-entity or multi-currency accounting is a plusProficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and ERP systemsExperience with third party payroll processor (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Paychex)Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas)Strong knowledge of GAAPIFRS and financial compliance requirementsExperience in dynamic, high paced environments such as private equity backed companies and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasksStrong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail and accuracyEffective written and verbal communications skillsAbility to work overtime as neededWhat We Do:Our mission is simple - We provide critical communications services to help people in distress.
