Position Reports To: Plant Manager Job Description: The Electrical Engineer will work closely within the Engineering Department to enhance production equipment, plan and implement capital projects, and adhere to applicable environmental and safety regulations. Primary Responsibilities: Thoroughly understand plant production equipment and plant power Update or create electrical drawings and schematics Maintain compliance with electrical rules relevant to local, state and federal regulations Plan, Budget, and prepare new control equipment installations Work with IT and outside vendors programming PLC's, application software Assist Cross functional team with Safety, Production, Quality, and Environmental standards: including implementation and enforcement of Plant Safety, Quality, and Environmental Manuals Required Skills and Qualifications: Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent education and experience Experience with motor control systems including D.C. motors, A.C. motors and VFD controls Familiarity of 3 phase electrical circuits Experience with Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) control systems PLC programming, installation and troubleshooting experience Computer skills include CAD, Microsoft platform Good verbal, written and leadership skills Understanding of ISO 9001 and 14001 Management Systems desired Experience with occupational safety and health compliance Other Preferred Qualifications: Benefits Include: 401(k) Annual Company Contribution to 401(k) Paid Time Off Health Insurance Life Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Flexible Spending Account Opportunity for college tuition reimbursement Ervin Industries Ervin Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer Ervin Industries is the world's leading manufacturer of steel shot and grit abrasives.
