Description Develop and implement category strategies aligned with overall business objectives, including assortment planning, pricing strategies, and promotional activities. Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats within assigned categories. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate terms and contracts, and ensure compliance with pricing and promotional agreements. Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations, and finance teams to achieve category objectives and drive business results. Analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and product performance to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends to stay informed of market dynamics and identify emerging opportunities. Lead product lifecycle management initiatives, including new product introductions, discontinuations, and SKU rationalization. Drive continuous improvement in category performance through data-driven insights and actionable recommendations.Provide regular reporting and presentations to senior management on category performance, initiatives, and strategic recommendations. Stay abreast of industry best practices and incorporate innovative approaches to category management to maintain competitive advantage.Requirements•Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.•3 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or related roles with a focus on Ecommerce•Proven track record of developing and implementing successful category strategies that drive business results.•Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, data analysis tools, and retail analytics platforms.•Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.•Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans and initiatives.•Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.•Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.•Passion for consumer products and understanding of consumer preferences and behavior.
