Mid-West Portfolio Manager & Client Partner Role Purpose The Capital Markets Portfolio Leader for the Midwest (Chicago area) and Client Partner role will manage the performance and growth of the Midwest portfolio of accounts. Heshe will also be the Client Partner for key strategic accounts in the region. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESBusiness •Manages the overall performance of the Midwest portfolio of accounts. This corresponds to the cluster P&L relative to meeting or exceeding specified financial targets across reporting cycles on bookings, revenue and operating margin. •Responsible for managing and driving accelerated growth for the MidwestChicago portfolio for Capital Markets driving net new, renewal, and expanded business opportunities, revenue streams, profitable growth, and client satisfaction for all Cognizant services for the portfolio. •Expands the portfolio size by successfully securing new logos across all Capital Markets sub-domains and advances Cognizant's market standing and leadership in the region. •Develops and owns executive client relationships for accounts in the region to expand and deepen Cognizant's capabilityservices presence, maximize investments, innovate on sourcing models and gain recognition for differentiated value-delivery and expertise. •Represents the region from a market perspective including participating in analyst reviews and advancement of vendor partnerships. •Develops innovative solutions across Cognizant's expansive service lines and partnerships. •Regularly reviews portfolio and account performance metrics and client satisfaction with Cognizant senior management, engagement, delivery, operations, and finance teams to optimize account performance •Drives the KPIs used to measure contribution to the growth of the portfolioclients' business and company performance •Provides timely reporting and actionable insights on sales and customer-related issues or concerns, and works with engagement and delivery leadership to resolves outstanding account challenges •Applies appropriate tools, processes, and methods to ensure consistent, effective execution of tasks (e.g., WinZone, Client Value Framework, Client Messaging Framework) Expertise: •Stays current with industry trends, market developments, and technology changes with potential to impact the client's business •Develops, through research, a profound understanding of the client's industry, business, philosophy and culture •Leverages sales insights to motivate service lines to support account growth activities and service innovations •Monitors competitive strategies, tactics, and offers to position Cognizant uniquely against the competition •Ensures the relevance of Cognizant offers to client needs by maintaining a solid understanding of Cognizant's strategies, portfolios, and partners Relationships: •Acts as a trusted adviser to clients, builds and leverages C-level account networks, and maintains excellent client satisfaction on behalf of Cognizant •Meets regularly with client decision makers and influencers to influence client business agendas and investments •Establishes and manages trusted relationships with Cognizant partners and new acquired companies' stakeholders and decision makers •Builds and maintains effective communication between Cognizant engagement teams and client organizations •Builds and leverages productive relationships with industry advisors and analysts Sales: •Formulates winning long-term account growth plans through collaboration with multiple Cognizant stakeholders (service lines, innovation teams, partners, business teams) •Drives execution of Cognizant's agenda (i.e., digital transformation innovation) into the client's business eco-system •Develops and leverage strategic partnerships and alliances to Cognizant's advantage (e.g., Google, Salesforce, Microsoft) •Develops strategic sales opportunities, and organizes the business, operations, and technical expertise needed to qualify and bring those opportunities to successful closure •Manages sales opportunities and resources expertly to balance Cognizant's short- and long-term objectives Leadership: •Establishes high-level and tactical relationships with all internal Cognizant stakeholders to ensure portfolioaccount success (e.g., sales, operations, marketing, on-shore & off-shore delivery) •Supports recruitment of dedicated portfolioaccount team members to continually grow talent pool •Develops the portfolioaccount team and broader client partner community through coaching, mentoring, and the communication of best practices •Creates a culture and working environment for account teams that embodies Cognizant's values and vision •Drives sales team skill development initiatives and facilitates relevant training opportunities •Drives the communication strategies, events, and coordination requirements needed to maximize collaboration between account and delivery teams EXPERIENCE •15-20 years of industry domain experience with at least 10+ years in account management and business development roles •Experience in managing large, multimillion-dollar client P&L, including reporting and metric assessment •5+ years of Capital Markets in-domain experience with a broad network of contacts •Growing market presence and influence across various social media and marketing platforms •Strong track record of managing different selling contexts, ranging from sales, new sales, sales programs, and existing annuity business •Extensive experience in positioning and selling digital services solutions •Bachelor's degree in technology or science, or equivalent experience Preferred background: •10 years of executive selling experience in an industry-relevant consulting firm or professional services account engagement role •Experience in managing large, extensive, global clients involving globally complex deals •In-depth understanding of the client business, technology, and services sales domains to be selling into •Experience in off-shore delivery models and in managing globally dispersed teams •Master's degree in technology, MBA degree, or equivalent experience Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until March 31, 2025. The annual salary for this position is between $171,051- $316,500 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
