Job DescriptionPerforms clerical and receptionist duties essential to the operation of patient care as directed and also receives instructions from physicians and nurses.ResponsibilitiesIdentifies by use of the plate imprinter, the stationery (e.g., Kardex Chart Forms) and requisitions of each patientMaintains up-to-date and accurate patient rosters (e.g., locator board, TPR, BP, weight bookMaintains a system for tracking the location of each patient on the unitTranscribes physicians orders and follows through appropriately in their implementationSchedules with appropriate departments andor individuals, patient appointment, treatments, diagnostic procedures, etc.Maintains neat and orderly bulletin boards.
