Structures Analysis Engineer - IFG - Level 4

Job DescriptionLockheed Martin Aeronautics in seeking a full-time Stress Analysis Engineer for the Integrated Fighter Group in Fort Worth, Texas. What You Will Be DoingA successful candidate will use their technical experience to develop innovative solutions to highly complex technical problems. Responsibilities for this position may include:- Support F-16 Production and F-22 Sustainment Material Review Board (MRB) repairs to ensure discrepant parts or assemblies meet required strength standards.- Perform stress analysis on metallic and composite materials, including sizing of detail parts and assessing the strength of primary and secondary aircraft structures and systems.- Certify new and existing designs by performing strength analysis, releasing drawings, and preparing analysis reports.- Evaluate and compare structural efficiency and weight for different structural arrangements and concepts through analysis and trade studies.- Provide input for structural tests, including test requirements, loads, and predicted results.Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is in Fort Worth, TX •Discover Fort Worth.Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering- Experience with structural analysis of primary and secondary airframe structure- Experience with metallic and composite analysisDesired skills- Experience with free-body diagrams, classical hand calculations, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) pre- and post-processing, Linux or other computer languages- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Ability to collaborate in a team-based environment- Proficient with Microsoft Office- 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degreeEEOLockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
